New Month Resolution—Writing Daily
I do when I feel stuck and need a clear idea of which direction to move in.
July is here, and I made a new month’s resolution. I often do.
For July, I make the resolution to write daily for 30 days.
Making a plan for anything makes you bound to it, and thus, you can reach your goals.
It’s not always 10/10, but you reach the near.
Penning down what’s next also makes things clear.
Some people believe in journaling, some don’t.
I do when I feel stuck and need a clear idea of which direction to move in.
My last month's stats were a bit down. Plus, I am still working to meet financial goals.
So, I created a new month’s resolution, which is:
Writing daily, almost 1-3 blog posts. They would be small blog posts of 500 words or less because I believe that, until it’s necessary, I should not extend the content by talking fluff. I always try to be to the point because I believe readers come to enjoy the content. Boring, monotonous content sometimes bores them.
I will post here and the same posts on Substack. I started a Substack newsletter a month ago, and haven’t worked consistently yet. With a few posts, a month-old Substack got 7 subscribers.
Why Substack? Of course, to expand my writing, audience and income stream.
If you are a beginner or want to grow better, I advise you to create a resolution and work on it.
Keep it simple and concise.
Follow it every day.
If you are in the same boat I am, you can join me in the journey by participating in a 30-day writing challenge.
What’s your new month’s resolution?
